Butterfly Conservation Ireland is a voluntary organisation established in 2008 to:

• Promote the conservation of butterflies and their habitats in the Republic of Ireland

• Encourage public involvement in conservation

• Create opportunities for Butterfly Conservation Ireland’s volunteers and members of the public to organise and participate in national and local conservation projects, including reserve management

• Undertake survey work in reserves, proposed or designated sites
